This week, the children in the Upper Juniors were writing instructions for a night guard at an art museum. However, it wasn’t any ordinary museum, because at night, the various art work comes to life! They had to write detailed instructions and include warnings.
I have been greedy again and have selected two dragon writers. Both Sam and Megan tried particularly hard with this task and achieved PBs and I couldn’t choose between them!
Sam had worked hard on following his mind map and organising his writing so that his paragraphs were detailed and his points were well explained. He also took the time to think carefully about the vocabulary he used.
Megan included lots of quirky details into her writing, including clearly explaining that the wrench buffalo must be fed at precisely 6pm. Furthermore, she carefully thought about warnings to make her writing more in depth.
