Last week the children put to use the skills they had learnt during maths, by weighing ingredients, for baking. They had a wonderful time following a variety of recipes by to make some wonderful cookies and cakes. At the end of the day some of the children from the Key Stage enjoyed selling the cakes to parents and further improving their knowledge of money and finding change. The day was made even more special by the amount of support from parents and grand Hordles, so a huge thank you to them!!!

Yum! I remember baking in year 1 and 2. When I walked in Mrs Hulse’s classroom I saw two adults baking it smelt lovely but sadly they did not let me try one so I spent the lesson dribbling.
Those pictures remind me of Cookery Club! Those cakes look SO nice! I wish I had been there to bake too! 😛
Amazing! Those cakes look delicious: it seems we might have some little chef’s in the making! In addition, it looks like you were having heaps of fun! Futhermore, it’s astonishing how you can sell delectable treats aswell because eventhough Im a year 7, I would find being a salesman challenge! Well done KS1!
