IT’S ALL GREEK TO ME – Reflections

As our brilliant IPC topic draws to and end, it’s time to reflect on our learning journey. What has been the highlight for you? What new things have you learnt? What would you still like to learn more about?

What could be done differently for the Lower Juniors, who will be doing this topic in two years time?

Why I loved the all greek to me topic was because that we got to learn alot about ancient greeks and if we went to greece we would be able to say what we learnt and maybe by the end we might be able to ask if we can earn a little bit of greek talking.

  3. Ruby W says:

  4. Chloe Q says:

I think that we should do some more learning on cities and countries. We hardly learn about them and we also learn something facts what we did not know. So can we?

I am really disapointed that our Greek learning has come to a end because we were learning a lot about the Olympics and the Gods and all about what went on around then.I have enjoyed doing our myths because we got to choose our own monster and it could be anything you wanted it to be.It was also a little hard because you had to think about what happened around then.

  19. Tavi H says:

I enjoyed learning about all the different Greek Gods. I also enjoyed listening to all the Greek myths. I learnt that there are different features in a myth such as: you need a moral, there are different versions, there is a hero and there is normally a happy ending. I think that next year it should be different by maybe in maths we could learn the anicient greek numbers and wether they were letters or not.

The greeks were an inspiration to us because they had strict rules and the Greeks followed them .They did follow the rules .

  24. Katy W says:

I loved IT’S ALL GREEK TO ME because I learned all about ancient Greece. The highlight of the topic for me was the Greek day, when the Upper Juniors dressed up as Greeks. I had a great time pretending to sacrafice Mr. Croutear’s beloved lamb, Lamby. I sat in assembly wearing a toga while the Infants stared at me! I learned all about Ancient Greek houses, sport, myths and much more. I loved creating my own Greek myth. I would not like the teachers to change anything about the topic, as it is perfect as it is! I think the year three and fours will love this topic!

  25. Thomas C says:

  28. Katie W says:

I really enjoyed the its all greek to me topic as I learnt different things about Ancient Greece and I was introduced to some new and exiting gods and goddesses have never learnt or seen before! My highlight of the greek topic was writing our very own information page on a subject we chose all about Ancient Greece. In addition, I also enjoyed making our clay pots and my favourite part of the clay making was the scoring part where you had to score the clay so it would make the clay stick together better and it would help the clay pot more sucure. I really enjoyed this topic and I hope you all did too. If some of the rules stayed the same from the Ancient Greek times, I wonder what it would be like nower days.

  29. Katie W says:

I also liked it where we had to dress up and play a role as the ancient Greeks would of.

  30. Amy B says:
