Buddies Making us Proud

Not only were we lucky enough to get to watch Hosanna Rock by KS1 but we also enjoyed a special nativity performance from our Foundation Stage Buddies.

We were so proud watching our buddies perform in front of an eager audience and couldn’t believe they had learnt so many lines!

Here are the Y6s reviews on their incredible show!

Hosanna Rocked Hordle Primary School!

It’s that time of year where we all look forward to seeing KS1’s ‘Hosanna Rock’ nativity! As the lucky UJs sat there watching the infants perform, it brought back lots of cherished memories and many of us were singing along to the songs, which we remember so well. Everyone had to use all of their Superhero Values and show extra bravery when performing in front of the rest of the school. The Upper Juniors wish KS1 all the best when performing to their families this week.

Here’s what the Y6s thought about the wonderful nativity.

Hordle vs Lymington Netball Match

On Tuesday the 18th of November, Alpha and Beta Netball teams went to Lymington Junior school to compete against them as their first match in the New Forest Netball League. With a hard core warm-up from their captains, they were ready to play!

In the first quarter, Alpha had scored a goal in the first 30 seconds which resulted well as they got the first center pass. As for Beta they scored lots in the first quarter too! Unfortunately, Alpha conceded 1 goal but kept their heads high and fought back. After some amazing scoring from Rosie and Katie and great center court from Emily, Alpha scored 39 goals in the end and only conceded two! As for Beta, with some amazing defense from Joseph, Amy and Beth they managed a fantastic win of 23 goals only conceding 1! well done to all players for extremely good play and good luck for further matches!

Y6 Brockenhurst Football game

On Thursday 20th November, Hordle Year 6 football team competed against Brockenhurst Primary School.

Although it was a tough game we never allowed our heads to drop. Despite going 2-0 down early in the game, we were resilient and pulled 3 goals back through our striker Adam.  Woody made some outstanding saves in goal and our defence and midfield were solid, however we unfortunately conceded 3 late goals to end the game 5-3 to Brockenhurst.

It was a tough start to the season, but we are all really excited for our adventure ahead this season.

U11 Bartly Football Tournament

On Friday 26th September the Year Six Football A team participated in a long, hard football tournament against a wide range of local football teams. Although we played as well as we could, we unfortunately got knocked out at the quarter-finals.

In our first game, we battled through an exciting game to kick off our football tournament. We unfortunately conceded an own goal, but then luckily in the last minute Adam found the back of the net! Our final score was 1-1. In our second game we also ended with a 1-1, well fought game. We then had an unfortunate loss against the home team of the tournament. We finally won two games in a row which gently sat us at the quarter-finals.

Our final game was a tough one, but with our amazing goalkeeper, Archie, at our side we drew our game. Unfortunately we conceded two goals in penalties and only scored one. Overall we played really well and can’t wait for the season ahead.
