Y6 Show 2015

The year sixes have been absolutely loving practicing for the 2015 Y6 show – which will have a title soon!

Set during World War II, six lethargic children get the lesson of a lifetime as they learn about history’s greatest conflict.

So year sixes, how is the show going? Who is your favourite character? What are you enjoying most about the show?

And…which learning heroes have you been using over the past few weeks of rehearsals?

This week, the year fives are lucky enough to be getting the chance to have a sneak peek at the show – can you write a review of this production so far?

Who is your favourite character? Which scene do you like most and why? Which song gets you dancing in your seat? Β Do you have any top-tips for our performers to help them make this show go down in Hordle history?

More show news will be coming soon…

A couple of year 5’s have been led into a familiar hall……….To see the year 6 show!!
We have been taken back in time to see a moment of time named World War II.Having 30% of the cast involved, the year 6’s carried on like proffesionals. After the first scene we were astonished as they had not had a long time to reherse and they already had a amazed audience!!Being transported back to the 1930’s the cast have turned young and goingon a adventure of a lifetime………….

  7. Conrad H says:

  11. Gary P says:

When watching the year 6 production, i thoroughly enjoyed the introduction scene however i thought it sloped at sections due to the fact many children were out at GCSE.Also, i loved the part where they used a flashback to 1939 in the train station.Throughout all of the performance i really liked how they really empathised how the characters felt for example dissapiontment, exitment, boredness.During the show, i enjoyed the dads army scenes and thought they were hilarious! In the scenes i have seen so far i thought they were well acted however i belive that they could of spoke slightly louder and slower in some areas.

  12. Gary P says:

Overall, i thoroughly enjoyed the year 6 show and can’t wait to see it fully completed. Congratulations year 6 what a great performance.

  13. Oliver.P says:

I can’t wait to see the full performance with all the props, costumes and slick speech. But, of curse, it’s not prfect yet. With guns, puns and a lot of noise, this years prformance is sure to be an amazing one.

  14. Conrad H says:

i hope you will enjoy the third part

  15. Mia.Cronin says:

  20. abigail.connor says:

WOW what an amazing time. The year six show is super with all the brilliant scenes and the characters, even though the show is a very fun time it is also challenging and you have to have a lot of motivation. Learning your lines is one of the hardest tasks when you are doing the show because you only have a few weeks to learn them. But what i personally like is the costumes they really describe your character and the part you play. My sense is about the land army but i will stop there don’t want to give to much away.

  21. Thomas P says:

I have enjoyed doing the year 6 show ; it has been so much fun! All of the scenes have an abundance of hilarious moments! Practicing for the 2015 year six show (heroes) is so much fun!Packed with thrill and laughter, this years show will have you laughing, giggling and aahhhhing!

  22. Thomas P says:

My favorite character are Rita Beaching – played by Rosie G because she is amazing at playing her character and really acts like a grandma and in the other scenes when she is a girl πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  23. Thomas C says:

I love my part in the show and I can’t wait to show the school and the parents also the community.;)

  27. Oliver.R says:

It was amazing! They must have worked so hard.

  28. Amelia T says:

I loved doing the show and I hope everyone did to! I was a lady Army Girl, it was really embarrassing because we had to do some silly dances and cant laugh during them. It took a bit of time to be serious and get on with your challenge to impress the audience including: parents, other relatives, close family and other members of staff from Highlcliffe School and Arnewood School. All the years below yr 6 should be exited for there yr 6 show and you also do no lessons. It was really fun to show a play with yr friends since it was the last months here at Hordle CE Primary school!!!! πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚

  29. Alice says:

Loved every moment of it. I’m going to miss being a weeping, teddy-flinging evacuee! However, I feel proud of my fake crying (on the first parent performance my family thought I was really crying and were a bit confused) and have been complimented many times by random people :D. I think it is incredible how a Deerleap half was written this year since Mr Croutear was ill- it made me jump when I saw him the first day he was back! I’m so proud of everyone and I will be devastated when we split up for our secondary schools. πŸ™

  30. Evie G. says:

Who drew that plane it’s AMAZING!! Let me guess what make it is a Spitfire the most amazing plane. Also my dad and my auntie’s boyfriend / my dad’s sister’s boyfriend stood in front of a Spitfire!:]:]

  31. Julia P says:

  32. amelia.m says:
