I would say not to put your personal information into a non-private internet conversation (websites,Facebook, instagram, yahoo, twitter, etc). Also, don’t click on a website that you dont know where it’s going to take you; like a supisios website as the example follows…

suddenly all that happens is your computer shuts down whith a hack and you loose all your memory!) honestly it would NOT be nice!! 🙁 🙁

It is really important to keep your personal information to yourself. The internet is a wonderful but dangerous place. There are many mean people using the internet to cyberbully and blackmail other users. If you give out your personal information to a stranger, they could break into your computer and other files. Pearents are also in danger of stangers taking over their computer. Companies can offer tempting deals online and you can end up losing your money if you accept deals from unknown companies. Another danger are viruses. If your pearents give personal information to strangers, they could take over their computers or delete all the information contained in your files. Or they could perminatally shut down your computer. That would have been an expensive mistake.

In the morning we were greeted by two P.C.S.O ,police men, ( Gary and James). They were here to talk to us about staying safe on the internet. A shocking video was shown to us about a 10 year old girl called Becky, she had created an account on a social networking site. She had met a French girl and thought she could do anything and no one else would know. But the french girl dared her to do something not very nice. So she did it and she filmed her. So she realized that she would not see her again. so know she is much happier. So don’t do what she did.

Today we’ve been learning all about internet safety. We have learnt about all of the different categories of this subject. These subjects are:File Sharing,Social Networking,Email & Instant Messaging,Video Games and Mobile Phones.Video Games is when people play against other people who are playing online, there’s different ages for different games these ratings are: 3,7,12,15,16,18.These tell you what age to play certain games, many of these games like GTA and Call of Duty are very addictive and also are violent so that’s one of the reasons why they have age ratings.

I would love it if I could have some technology myself! Which is why[as you probably know] I don’t visit the internet that much, but still it is important not to share personal details because some people could be faking their age and how nice they seem! Don’t agree to meet anybody that you have only met online. Keep safe.
